Pick-up Games Information Page

There is now has a for fun, co-ed adult soccer activity. In this format all volunteers are welcome to join the ad-hoc team on weekends for a bit of warm-up/practice and then to play a friendly game of soccer with one of the other teams which shows up.

In that these games are meant to be friendly, there are some basic rules. Recognizing that we are not as young as we used to be, and given that we all have to go back to work on Mondays, we want the games to be fun and safe. Consequently, full equipment checks will be done (no earrings, shin-guards are required, etc). Also, no slide tackles are allowed and the keeper gets a wide berth. We will also have experienced referees on hand to manage the game and ensure that it is run in a safe, fair and fun manner. In addition, these games are co-ed and each team must be composed of at least 1/3 women.
